One of your first tasks will be to set up your Amazon Brand Registry. Amazon brand protection is vital in guarding your intellectual property. Strong competition on Amazon can lead to trademark issues. We can support you in using the Amazon brand registry to register your products and protect your brand.
Maybe you are an official distributor or reseller looking to grow on Amazon? Have you been selling B2B and you are now looking to go direct-to-consumer?
Amazon does provide tools for brand building, but they can be difficult to navigate for both new and established businesses. Our experienced team have run their own business on Amazon. They will have been in your position and learnt things the hard way. They now have the specialist knowledge and expertise to be able to guide you through the labyrinth and successfully set up your Amazon brand registry.
Do you already have a registered trademark? If so, you’re already halfway there, but if you haven’t, we can support you through the process.
Safeguarding your business with Amazon brand protection
Counterfeits are, unfortunately, present in online selling and you do not want them to impact your business. Amazon prohibits the sale of fake goods and actively works to prevent them from being sold. But it is not failsafe. Amazon brand protection will help preserve your brand health and keep you safe from the threat of counterfeit products.
Amazon is keen to build and maintain customers’ trust in its marketplace and works hard to prevent fraudulent sellers joining the platform. In 2021, it prevented more than 2.5 million of these counterfeit traders from setting up accounts. The efficiency of its automated Amazon brand protection tools will keep your account safe.
Benefits of Amazon Brand Registry
Every registered brand selling on Amazon can benefit from Amazon’s brand registry. Being registered will enable you to increase the control that you have over changes that you – or other sellers – may make on your product pages, such as titles, product descriptions and images.
In order to set up inventory in Amazon’s brand registry, users are required to enter a UPC number (general merchandise) and an ISBN (for books) as part of the item set up procedure. Amazon will confirm UPC barcodes are registered to their sellers and not 3rd parties, which protects the rights owners.
Once a rights owner has enrolled a brand in Brand Registry, they may submit a request to Amazon to add additional representatives of the brand, including agents. This will allow you, as an official distributor of a product, to also get access to Amazon’s Brand Registry for the brands you represent.
Brand registered Amazon Sellers can also access other useful tools and programmes.
- A+ Content, sometimes called Enhanced Brand Content, allows Amazon sellers to customize their listings with more images and text
- Amazon Stores Builder allows companies to maintain a dedicated page on the Amazon marketplace where they can feature all your products in one area to encourage cross-sells and upsells
- Sponsored Brands Ads enable sellers to use extra Amazon advertising tools to encourage cross-sells and upsells
- Amazon Live Creator can offer live chat with potential customers to answer any questions
- Amazon Vine is a paid feature whereby businesses can invite trusted customers on Amazon to leave reviews on their products
- Virtual Bundles Tool allows brand owners to create special “bundles” from complementary products purchased from a single detail page
- Amazon Attribution tool provides extra data about social media, display ads, PPC, and email marketing.
